Terms of Use

1. This agreement

VerticalHero is a product of RENFLUENCE ADVERTISING SERVICES P.C. (“Renfluence”, “we”), a Greek private company based at 71 Kifisias Avenue, Athens 115 23, Greece. These Terms are an agreement between us and you. If you use VerticalHero for an organisation, they also bind that organisation, and you confirm that you may accept them for it.

You accept these Terms by creating an account or using the service. Renfluence’s other services have their own terms, and a VerticalHero account is separate from them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

2. Who may use VerticalHero

VerticalHero is a business service for brands, agencies and professionals. It is not offered to consumers. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract, and you must not be barred from using the service by sanctions or other law.

3. Your account and workspace

• Give accurate details and keep them current.
• Keep your sign-in safe, and tell us at once if you suspect someone else has used it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Work happens in a workspace. Those who manage it decide who joins and what they may do, and the organisation answers for its members’ use.
• Registration may be closed, or limited to invited people, at any time.

4. The service

VerticalHero is a chat-based tool for influencer marketing. It lets you find creators, keep lists, set up projects and follow campaigns, by talking to an assistant or by hand. We keep improving it, so features may change, and some may be marked as a preview. If we remove something essential to a paid plan, we will tell you first.

5. The assistant and AI output

The assistant is an AI system. Its output is produced by statistical models and may be wrong, incomplete, out of date or biased, and another customer may receive similar output. It is a working aid for professionals and not legal, financial or other advice.

Check output before you rely on it or publish it, and particularly before you make decisions about a creator. You are responsible for what you do with it.

VerticalHero asks for your approval before a paid analysis runs. When you approve, you are the one deciding, and you accept the cost.

6. Creator data

Creator data in VerticalHero comes from Renfluence. It is drawn from public and third-party sources, so figures are estimates and can be incomplete or change without notice. We do not promise that any creator will perform in a certain way, or that any campaign will reach a result.

You may use it for your own marketing work and for your clients’ campaigns. You may not resell it, publish it as a dataset, extract it in bulk, or use it to build a competing database or to train AI models.

7. Your content

What you put into VerticalHero stays yours, and so does the output you receive, as far as the law allows ownership of it. You give us permission to host, copy, process and pass on your content only as needed to provide the service to you, including to the service providers named in the Privacy Policy. We do not train AI models on it.

You confirm that you have the rights and the legal basis to use what you upload, and that doing so does not break the law or anyone’s rights.

8. Working with creators

Any agreement you reach with a creator is between you and that creator. We are not a party to it, we do not represent either side, and we are not responsible for what either does. You are responsible for campaign rules, such as labelling sponsored content.

9. Services you connect

You may connect other services, such as a third-party connector for your chats. They are not ours, and their own terms apply. When you connect one, you allow VerticalHero to exchange data with it as the feature describes. We are not responsible for how they behave, and tools from a connector may change things in that service once you allow them.

10. What you must not do

• Break the law or anyone’s rights, or harass, deceive or impersonate others.
• Use VerticalHero to profile or target minors, or to make decisions about people on grounds the law forbids.
• Upload malware, or try to get past security, limits, approvals or permissions.
• Scrape the service, overload it, or reverse-engineer it, except where the law lets you.
• Share an account, or resell access without our written agreement.
• Use the service to build a competing product.

11. Plans, credits and payment

• Plans, prices, what each includes and any usage limits are shown before you buy. Unless stated otherwise, prices are in euros and exclude VAT and other taxes.
• Subscriptions renew automatically for the period you chose until cancelled. If you cancel, the plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
• Credits pay for paid tools and for usage above a plan’s limits. The cost of a paid run is shown before you approve it. Credits belong to the workspace, have no cash value and expire as shown when you receive them.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until it is settled.
• Except where the law requires or we agree otherwise in writing, payments and used credits are not refundable.
• We may change prices for future periods, and will tell you beforehand.

12. Our rights

VerticalHero, its software, design, brand and creator data belong to Renfluence or its licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service under these Terms, for as long as you are allowed to use it. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.

13. Personal data we process for you

When you put personal data into your workspace, such as details of your team, clients or creators, you are the controller and we are your processor. This section is our agreement under Article 28 of the GDPR. It covers the data you enter, for as long as your workspace holds it, for the purpose of providing the service.

• We act only on your documented instructions, which are these Terms and your use of the service, unless the law requires otherwise.
• Those who handle the data are bound to confidentiality, and we keep appropriate technical and organisational security measures.
• You authorise the sub-processors named in the Privacy Policy. We bind them to equivalent duties, stay responsible for them, and will update that list before adding or replacing one, so that you can object on reasonable grounds.
• We help you answer people’s requests and meet your duties on security, breach notification and impact assessments, and we tell you of a personal data breach without undue delay.
• Transfers outside the EEA rely on the safeguards described in the Privacy Policy.
• When the service ends, we delete the data, or return it if you ask beforehand, unless the law requires us to keep it.
• We give you the information needed to show compliance, and allow reasonable audits on reasonable notice.

14. Availability

We work to keep VerticalHero available, but it may be interrupted for maintenance or by events we do not control, including failures of the AI, data, email and other services it depends on. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, we offer no particular service level.

15. Suspension and ending

You can stop at any time and delete your account in Settings. If others still share a workspace with you, hand it over first.

We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if payment is overdue, if the law requires it, or to protect the service or others. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first. We may also end the service, or a free plan, with at least 30 days’ notice.

If you need a copy of your data before leaving, write to [email protected]. Sections that by their nature should continue after the end, such as those on liability and the law, continue.

16. No other promises

As far as the law allows, VerticalHero and its data and output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without any promise that they are accurate, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose, or that they will bring a particular commercial result.

17. Limits on liability

As far as the law allows, our total liability arising from these Terms or the service, however it arises, is limited to the greater of €100 or the fees you paid us for VerticalHero in the 12 months before the event that caused it.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, revenue, goodwill or data, or business interruption.

Nothing here limits liability for intent, gross negligence, fraud, death or personal injury, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

18. Claims against us

If someone brings a claim against us because of your content, your dealings with a creator or your breach of these Terms, you will cover our reasonable losses and costs, including legal fees. We will tell you promptly and let you take part in the defence.

19. Events beyond our control

Neither of us is responsible for a delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as outages of networks or providers, attacks, disasters or acts of authorities. This does not excuse payments already due.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms, and the date at the top shows when we last did. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the product at least 14 days before it applies, unless the law or a safety reason requires it sooner. If you do not agree, stop using VerticalHero before then. Continuing to use it means you accept the change.

21. Law and courts

These Terms are governed by Greek law. The courts of Athens, Greece, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory law says otherwise.

22. General

You may not transfer this agreement without our written consent. We may transfer it to a company that takes over VerticalHero. These Terms, with any order or written agreement you have with us, are the whole agreement on this subject, and a signed agreement prevails where the two differ. If a part is found invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right at once, we have not given it up.
